3 Hour	4 Hour	The openings are in wall that separating buildings or dividing a single building into designated fire areas.doors for this openning are required at 3 hours fire rating.
1-1/2 Hour	2 Hour	Openings are used in enclosures of vertical communication or egress through buildings. theste could be stairwells or elevator shafts. They also are in boiler rooms and in exterior walls that have the potential for severe fire exposure from the outside of the building.
3/4 Hour (45 Minutes)	1 Hour	For use on the openings are in corridors and room partitions. A door with this rating may also be used in the exterior wall which are subject to moderate fire exposure from the outside of the building.
1/3 Hour (20 Minutes)	1 Hour	These openings are in corridors or interior partitions where this fire rating is required .
