The gap under the wooden door can be reserved according to the thickness of the floor, generally 2cm-2.5cm.

Door width = door leaf width + door sleeve line width
Door opening width = door leaf width + door leaf reserved gap + door frame main board thickness + door frame solid board thickness + door frame adjustment margin
1. Measurement of door opening
The width of the doorway: measure the distance between the left and right of the doorway horizontally, and select more than five measurement points for measurement. The minimum value (minus the door frame adjustment margin) is the width of the door frame
The height of the doorway: vertically measure the distance from the top and bottom of the doorway, select three or more measuring points to measure, the minimum value (see the door frame adjustment margin) is the door frame extension height dimension
Note: Pay attention to the ground treatment in the measurement process, and reserve the thickness of the ground decoration materials for the needs.
Conditions for wooden door measurement
Before measuring the ruler, we need to level the ground and confirm the thickness of the ground material. Because we just got in and got the house, we will feel that the ground is not flat, if it is leveled, it will be much worse, even a few centimeters! Although it is a few centimeters, if the ruler error is very large at this time, even the made door cannot be installed normally! Regarding the location of wall tiles in the kitchen and bathroom, since the current wooden door installation has gone through the traditional woodworking era, styrofoam is used instead. This allows the door cover to be more firmly connected to the wall. Therefore, the wall thickness requirements are also very strict. Because the bathroom and kitchen of the house just bought have to be tiled with wall tiles, the wall must be leveled, so it has a certain thickness. This makes us have to finish paving the wall tiles and measure the wooden door with more precision!
