Through understanding the importance of fire doors in construction, discuss the matters that should be paid attention to when installing fire doors, and ensure that fire doors can effectively protect against fire.
Fire door refers to a door that can meet the requirements of fire resistance stability, integrity and heat insulation within a certain period of time. It is mainly used for fire wall openings, staircase entrances, evacuation walkways, pipeline wellheads, etc. of building fire compartments. The fire door is usually used for the passage of people. In the event of a fire, it can prevent the spread of fire and smoke within a certain period of time, ensure the safe evacuation of personnel, and play a sealing role when the positive pressure air supply system is working. Whether it is installed properly or not is directly related to the fire protection effect of the fire door.
When installing fire doors, qualified products must be selected, the grade of fire doors must not be lowered, and the installation should be carried out in strict accordance with the specifications.
1. When installing the door frame and door leaf, pay attention to the opening direction of the door, and open it in the evacuation direction.
2. Resolutely put an end to cutting corners. During the daily supervision and inspection, the author can often see that some fire door construction and installation units have serious problems of cutting corners when installing fire doors in order to save costs and speed up the construction, and some install less or no installation. Door closers and sequencers; some fire doors should be equipped with 3 hinges, they only install 2 or 1 hinge; some fire door hinges with 4 screw holes only install 2 screws, which reduces the fixation Strength; some even install non-fireproof hardware accessories and door locks; some do not install fireproof sealing strips; some fireproof doors are installed with ordinary glass or fireproof glass exceeding the prescribed area and so on.
3. The fire door has special functions of preventing fire, preventing smoke, restraining the spread of fire, and protecting personnel from evacuation, so it should have good airtightness. You should also pay attention to the following issues during installation:
(1) The distance between the door frame and the surrounding walls should not be too large, and should be filled with cement mortar or rock wool for sealing;
(2) When installing double-leaf doors, ensure that the door leaves fit tightly;
(3) Avoid excessive distance between the door frame and the ground, as the formation of a threshold is not conducive to evacuation;
(4) Do not make your own door frame, buy fire-proof door leaf for installation;
(5) It is forbidden to modify the finished fireproof door without authorization during installation. Take wooden fireproof doors as an example. Just like processing ordinary wooden doors, the original finished fireproof doors are arbitrarily sawed and planed. After the hardware is installed, the fireproof doors are not painted again. Coating, which greatly weakens the fire resistance.
