In the manufacturing and processing of interior doors, large core boards and particle boards are commonly used core materials. The editor found that although many people would choose the interior doors of these two core materials, most people actually don't know the advantages and disadvantages of the two, so they don't know how to choose.

Advantages of using large core board as the core material for interior doors:

The large core board has the advantages of good nail holding power and high strength, but also has the advantages of firmness, sound absorption, and heat insulation. In addition, the moisture content of the board is not high, so it is a good core material for making indoor doors. In addition, the large core board is much more stable than some other solid wood panels, but the interior door of this core material is more afraid of moisture, so you should pay attention to avoid using it in kitchen and bathroom places when using it.

Disadvantages of using large core board as core material for interior doors:

It is inevitable that large core boards need to use more urea-formaldehyde glue in processing, so its formaldehyde content is relatively high, and its environmental protection performance is not high. Once the processing is unqualified, it will emit a A pungent smell.

The solid wood strips inside the large core board are spliced longitudinally, so the strength of the vertical bending and compression resistance is relatively poor, and the door leaf will be deformed after being used for a long time.

Because the solid wood strips inside the board have different materials and different densities, if the large core board is only subjected to some simple drying treatments, even if the interior door is made, it is easy to have problems such as warping and deformation, which will affect the use effect.

Advantages of using particle board as the core material for interior doors:

Has a good decorative effect. The particle board and some other solid wood materials must be smoother in appearance, and there are no knots, bug holes and other defects, and it is not easy to crack. Therefore, after the interior door is made, it also has sound insulation, mildew resistance, heat preservation, etc. Advantages.

The surface has good warpage and is not easy to deform.

Strong nail holding power. The inside of the particle board is interspersed and scattered particles, so its nail holding force is very good, and it can withstand different types of nails during installation, and the natural use stability is better. In addition, this board can also be processed by sawing, sanding, planing, drilling, nailing, and other processing methods, so it is also a common core material in the production of interior doors.

Disadvantages of using particle board as the core material for interior doors:

When processing the particle board, some glue is often used, and these added glue will cause the particle board to produce formaldehyde and other harmful substances to the human body. If the quality is not strictly controlled, it will also reduce its environmental protection performance.

Compared with MDF, the surface of particle board is not very smooth, and the requirements of shape and curvature may not meet the diverse home improvement needs of consumers.
